Rennie got her first acting gig years after her retirement. She’s landed a pro bono role as Mrs. Claus for the local library’s Christmas program. Did she spend a little too much on the authentic red velvet dress? Yes. Did she bring candy canes & hot cocoa despite the library’s no food or drink policy? Also, yes. Doesn’t matter because no one has been prouder to read A Visit from St. Nicholas to a group of star struck children. Plus, she’ll get a second use out of this get-up when she surprises her mahj friends at next Wednesday’s game night.
